Bradenton.

Riverfront arts, the Village of the Arts, and a waterfront revitalization making Bradenton one of the Gulf Coast's most exciting cities.

Overview

What makes Bradenton special.

Bradenton is a city on the rise. Located on the Manatee River just north of Sarasota, Bradenton has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years. Once considered the quieter, less polished sibling of Sarasota, Bradenton is now attracting attention for its thriving arts scene, waterfront revitalization, and a downtown that's becoming genuinely exciting.

The city is the county seat of Manatee County and has a population of roughly 60,000. Its position on the Manatee River gives it a waterfront character that distinguishes it from its Gulf Coast neighbors, and its proximity to both the beaches and Lakewood Ranch makes it a convenient and increasingly desirable place to live.

Village of the Arts

Bradenton's crown jewel is the Village of the Arts — a historic neighborhood of colorful bungalows and cottages that has been transformed into one of the largest artist colonies in the Southeast. Galleries, studios, and creative businesses fill the streets, and the monthly First Saturday Artwalk draws visitors from across the region.

Waterfront & Downtown

The Bradenton Riverwalk is a 1.5-mile waterfront park along the Manatee River that features walking paths, a fishing pier, a splash pad, public art, and a kayak launch. The Old Main Street area and the surrounding downtown are home to local restaurants, breweries, and shops that give Bradenton a walkable, community-oriented feel.

Real Estate

Bradenton offers a more affordable entry point into the Sarasota-Manatee market compared to Sarasota proper or the barrier islands. The city has a mix of historic homes, newer developments, and waterfront properties along the Manatee River. The Village of the Arts area, in particular, has seen significant appreciation as its arts and dining scene has grown.
